Goldray Glass, Calgary’s Decorative Glass Powerhouse

This week, I had the privilege of touring Goldray Glass , right here in Calgary and I have to say, I’m amazed by the level of craftsmanship and innovation happening in our own city.

During the tour, Cathie Saroka, founder and 40-year veteran of Goldray, shared an incredible story from the late 1980s. Back then, her team was faced with what seemed like an impossible custom project. Instead of backing down, they figured it out, on deadline, against all odds. That determination set the foundation for what Goldray has become today: one of North America’s leading custom decorative glass manufacturers, with projects spanning across Canada and the US.

I also had the chance to learn from Kevin McMahon, who leads Sales & Marketing at Goldray. Kevin highlighted how they support the OEAC community, supplying countless samples that bring clients’ boldest design ideas to life. Walking through the plant, he pointed out, that they are working on one of their newest creations 3-inch thick glass countertops, a testament to how they keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.

As I toured the factory, I couldn’t help but imagine all the creative ways their glass could shape future spaces. It’s inspiring to see a Calgary-born company achieving so much while fueling imagination across North America.
