About Rea’s Italian Cucina

Since 1996, Rea’s Italian Cucina has been a cherished family-run trattoria nestled in Calgary’s Northeast, offering the city a warm slice of authentic Italian home cooking. Known for its comforting dishes and timeless ambiance, Rea’s has long been a local favorite for those seeking the familiar flavors of Nonna’s kitchen.

In 2009, a devastating fire temporarily closed its doors—but with resilience and community support, Rea’s was lovingly rebuilt. The restaurant returned stronger, holding true to its original spirit: hearty recipes, brick oven pizza, and a welcoming, old-school atmosphere complete with hand-painted murals and family-style service.
